It is consistently stressful to combine your life with that of your significant other, then moving in together is a trying time and you have to learn to compromise to make the arrangement work; Both of you need to have a clear picture of what you want in life, and your plans need to align to some degree if the relationship is going to last.
Most crucially, you need to get along with their family, because it’s consistently a challenge to deal with your in laws! That’s why I’m so careful when my bestie’s parents are coming over; I try to make the house perfect for them… I learned hastily, but, that despite my best efforts, my buddy and I were going to disagree in one realm in certain; my buddy and I do not see eye to eye on the temperature control settings. It turns out that they are accustomed to being warm, and want the temperature settings to be right around 77 degrees, even at night. I try my best to keep them glad, and I have no problem running the heater during the day, but at night I refuse to feel sizzling and humid air while I try to sleep. I personally appreciate to have the a/c on, making the indoor air condition cool and dry for sleeping. Because this seems to be a point of gratifiedion, I am preparing to have zone controlled heating and cooling installed in our house. That way, my in laws can adjust their dining room to any temperature they wish, while I can prefer my a/c all night long.
