It's quite cold in this city

Being an adult is so stressful.

I feel like I am pulled in all directions, every moment of every day.

There’s constantly something to be paying attention to, whether it’s a major project at work, a tough process cleaning up something at home, or running around neighborhood to accomplish boring adult errands. I have to say, the errands are my least favorite part of growing up. In fact, I often have to take off work just to accomplish my outside duties. As if it is not stressful plus unpleasant enough driving all over the neighborhood plus missing work, every building seems more uncomfortable than the last. It seems like errands are continually a long, arduous, hot plus cold ordeal. Around here, the outdoor air temperature is usually around a hundred degrees in the summer. The daylight is extremely intense plus the humidity is nothing to sneeze at… Every single building you walk into is like a polar tundra. They crank their air conditioning system so high that it feels like the North Pole. Every time you walk into a building, you’re right away slammed with a cold blast of dry air. Walking back out towards the car, you are inundated with sun plus thick humid air. You basically have to clean down after every trip into the outdoor sauna, before wandering back into the cold winter weather contained indoors. If it wasn’t unpleasant enough wasting all your time plus money adult chores, you can constantly look forward to the respiratory illness you’ll develop from drastic temperature swings.
