I am not a handy person at all.
When something is broken, I have to call a handyman. If I need repair or installation, I need a professional. When my air conditioner just stopped toiling, I upgraded the air filter. That was the extent of my knowledge plus capability, after that, I knew I needed an AC company in Palm Bay, FL to help me out. The AC dealer came in plus looked at my unit. He told me the thing was toast. It was all burned out plus several parts needed to be upgraded. He quoted me the price plus it was super high. I realized that buying a modern unit actually would be cheaper, especially when I considered the energy savings I get each month on a modern device. So I let them talk me into a modern installation in Palm Bay. I choose to just upgrade my existing central AC with a newer model. I already had the ductwork plus gave up the space in my closet. The guy then was able to install the indoor air handler in my crawl space rather than my closet. It was honestly nice! Changing the air filter will suck now, however that is once a month. For all of the year I will get that extra square footage to store things. The modern unit is so much quieter, cleaner, plus better at cooling. I did not realize how bad my AC was until I got a brand new one. I am cheerful that I let the guy talk me into an installation date.
