Hard water ruins water heater

Because of concerns with hard water, our cabin appliances don’t last all that long, and our water contains seriously high levels of calcium, lime plus rust; It creates mineral deposits on everything it touches, but hard water reduces the reliability plus efficiency of our washing machine, faucets, drains plus pipes. It corrodes the finishes on fixtures plus stains our sinks, tubs, linens plus clothing; Dry, frizzy hair plus dry skin are direct results of hard water. One of our major concerns is the operation of our water heater, but a hot water heater is a monthly necessity, however there was a time when water tanks were quite cheap! When the water heater became overrun with hard water deposits plus ruptured, replacing it wasn’t that sizable of a deal, my husband would make a trip to a home improvement store, purchase a water tank for around a hundred dollars plus have it installed within a couple of hours. A flooded basement was the largest hassle, but now, even basic water heating units are numerous hundred dollars. My nice friend and I can’t afford to buy a new one every two years. We’ve tried water filtration systems with no success. We’ve tried being conscientious about water heater maintenance with honestly limited results. When my buddy and I install a new water heater, the water from our faucets turns black within a few weeks. This is due to the anode rod, which is designed to attract mineral deposits. Our water is so exceptionally overrun with minerals, my buddy and I need to dislink the anode rod. However, this voids the warranty. We’ve found that hiring a licensed plumber that warranties their upgrades is our best solution.
